I won a ticket to attend today’s TEDxUWA, which was pretty cool – the winning a ticket part.
Lacey Filipich, of Money School offered a free ticket and I won!
That in itself was a sign really, as I’ve been skirting on the edges of her message for a while and am slowly getting closer. Financially Independent Retiring Early. More on that later perhaps.
Anyway, get yourself along to a live TEDx talk if you get the opportunity. It was an incredible experience.
The speakers today in case you care to look them up:
- Phoebe Ho – passionate mental health advocate and lived experience speaker
- Conrad Pires – co-founder of WA’s first space company, Picosat Systems
- Cameron Norsworthy – Flow Coach
- Darren Lomman – aiming to create WA’s first waste plastic reprocessing facility, GreenBatch.
- Lisa Newman – empowering the world with her Sales Tool Kit to help you learn how to influence and sell (your story)
- Ryan Beckmand – humanitarian and technology entrepreneur
- Shane Agnew – motivational speaker, educator, website designer and 3D design and printing expert
- Ann O’Neil – Complex Care Coordinator working with Angelhands
- Gry Stene – STEAM (the A stands for the Arts) advocate

Amazing day. I’ll be back later to unpack my thoughts x
